Online application via Consular Services Portal (Auslandsportal)

General information

• Only the visa section of the Embassy in Warsaw is responsible for visa applications. The Consulates General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Krakow, Wroclaw and Gdansk do not issue visas and do not provide any information on visa applications.
• You fill out the application form online in the Consular Services Portal, upload all required documents and send these documents for a preliminary check.
• Your information and documents will be checked for completeness as part of the preliminary check. If documents or information are missing, this will be clarified with you directly via the Consular Services Portal. In this way, the appointment for the personal interview at the Embassy is prepared in the best possible way.
• Appointments for personal interviews for applications submitted online will only be made once the preliminary check has been completed. You will receive a notification directly via the Consular Services Portal
• The purpose of the personal interview is to establish your identity and submit your biometric data (fingerprints and photograph). You will also pay the fee on site.
• The online application is currently only possible for individuals. Family members continue to apply for their visa in person at their diplomatic mission abroad.

Apply for a visa online

Apply for certain visas online. You will receive feedback in advance as to whether

your documents are complete. Your appointment at the diplomatic mission abroad will then be

quickly and efficiently: you show your original documents, provide your biometric data (fingerprints

data (fingerprints and photograph) and pay the fee.

- Opportunity Card

- Blue Card (EU) visa

- Visa to take up employment for academics

- Visa to take up employment in a skilled occupation

- Visa to take up employment with work experience

- Visa to carry out a skills analysis
